Catholic Life
Our framework for understanding values draws on the example of Christ and his warmth of welcome and inclusion of all. We provide an education that is focused on the formation of the whole person. We are guided by our vision statement ‘believers are achievers, creating tomorrow’s leaders, today' and by the Christian values of courage, service and thankfulness.
Holy Mass/Services
As a Catholic College we are a Eucharistic community. Local clergy celebrate Mass at regular intervals throughout the school year.
Masses during the Academic year include:
- Beginning of Year Mass
- Advent Services
- Carol Service
- Patron's Mass
- Leavers Mass
Sacred Spaces
There is a Sacred space in the college which has a different theme each month:
- September: New Beginnings
- October: The Rosary
- November: Remembering our Beloved Dead
- December: Advent
- January: Epiphany
- February: St. Brigid
- March: St. Patrick
- April: Easter
- May: May Altar
Daily Prayers
Prayers are said every day during morning registration led by the Form teacher and the pupils.
Works of Charity
We take very seriously our commitment to charity. We regard works of charity as an essential part of the pupils’ education.
We assist parents/guardians, in their role as the first and foremost educators of their children, to provide effectively for their overall development. Our teachers are vital partners with parents/guardians in each child’s education. The basis of this partnership is loyal, mutual understanding of each other’s complementary roles.
